For many art lovers the hall is a highlight of the whole visit, and missing it because of a midweek arrival is a genuine disappointment rather than a minor one. The Palatine Chapel, the Royal Gardens, the permanent exhibition and the archaeological area remain open across the week, so a Tuesday-to-Thursday visit is far from empty; it simply cannot include the apartments.
